So I did 2 teleseminars… now what?

Alright, so I did my first two teleseminars… I have new contacts, credibility, and lots of testimonials. Great stuff.

But now what do I do with the recording?

I’d like to send it to my list as a freebie, but I don’t want it to spread and not capture emails. So one thing I could do is put it up for a limited time, so they can download it, then put up a squeeze page for other people to download it.

OMG - I conducted my first teleseminar!!

WOW. The two experts overdelivered, we got some audio testimonials, lots of written testimonials, people loved it… it’s just amazing.

My head is still spinning from the emails, offers from other experts, and what I should be doing next. It was a free teleseminar, and the community loved it.

No one got a recording of it yet. I’m still trying to find a way to use it to my advantage.

Here’s what I want to do:

-Give the mp3 recording to the first 200 people who sends me testimonials (especially audio testimonials…)

-Repurpose the teleseminar into a series? ebook?

We have a lot of questions/feedback and 54 people registered to the next class, which we have yet to announce.

What is the next step?

Since this was an overview, we still need to make more … and give them RESULTS right now. Frank Kern is right, I will keep making free teleclasses and give them awesome free content until we have raving fans and they are given results!!

Phew… creating quality content is exhausting though. But the payoff will come soon I suppose.

ready for my first teleseminar

My first teleseminar is in two days… I’m very nervous and excited too! This is the first time a teleseminar has been done in this niche.

My Niche has 0 searches on Google Trends

Just thought I’d let you know you can’t always rely on this. :)

$3174 goal for the teleseminar

Ok, here’s an update on my first teleseminar…

This is scary stuff. 66 people signed up yesterday, the word is spreading really fast, and I still have never actually made a real teleseminar or used the technology before.

I got 2 experts to agree to participate in the seminar. The only problem with me hosting this is my lack of experience, so I’m tempted to buy Alex’s Teleseminar Secrets product.

All I know is my first teleseminar will be the worse. It only goes up from here.

The plan:

1. A squeezepage offering a 5 part course if they sign up for the teleseminar
2. They get 5 emails from the expert in an autoresponder, with a link to the PDF they can download. (free content)
3. I will create a blog, and make a post for those 5 lessons, so they can comment on them.
4. I’ll email this list about the date of the teleseminar. (I haven’t announced it yet!!)

5. Conduct the 2 hour long free teleseminar.
6. Ask for audio testimonials at the end of the call
7. The call to action is to register for another free teleseminar. :)
8. I will offer everyone on the call a free recording of this call.

So the goal is to build a great relationship with the community by offering quality free content. Then, I will make a killer offer by using Jeff Walker’s product launch formula and create an event.

I will re-purpose those teleseminars into transcribed ebooks, articles, etc. Make short video presentations, add the content I received from previous launch, and create an attractive $47+ offer.

The goal:

Here’s what I expect my 2nd launch to make from my various lists based on my previous launch results:

300 “very interested” prospects

10% conversion
3% conversion for a $47 product = 9 sales
7% conversion for a $27 product = 21 sales
= $990
+ 1200 general list
$27 @ 5% = $1620
$47 @ 1% = $564

= $2184
Total: $3174

I did a lot of things wrong in my previous launch, so the conversion should be better this time since I’m offering a lot of great content and building a better relationship. I’m looking forward to it!

How to learn marketing

For me, the way I learned and saw others learn the quickest, is by taking it one step at a time and small-chunking the knowledge.

So I’ve spent nine months learning revolving around my areas of focus and growth, and tailored to my priorities, strengths, and weaknesses.

For example..

1. Did the 30 day challenge to quickly make my first $1 with social bookmarking.

2. Then I signed up for the Immediate Edge, to learn more about the basics of IM and web 2.0.

3. I made a goal of making $10k per month.

4. After learning everything I needed to know from the Edge, I left and joined Nitty Gritty to learn how to personalize everything. I learned how to build a better list. I learned how to make real physical products.

5. I bought Product Launch Formula and my world was blown away by what was possible. I learned how to build a RELATIONSHIP with my list (very important) and how to launch events and make them exciting.

6. I made my first launch ever and made $400 in the first day and $1100 in one week, by using just 20% of the system, and not actually selling any “real” product. I had no product!

7. I’m now preparing to do my 2nd launch, but do it correctly this time!

So every step was important for me… if any newbies are reading this, start with the 30 day challenge. It’s a learning curve that takes time to implement, but look at your weaknesses and focus on where you need to improve your marketing knowledge.

I hope that helps!

I’ll keep you guys posted on my challenge.

48% conversion for the teleconference!

Wow, it’s 9:36am and 23 people signed up for the teleconference already… and it has a 48% conversion rate!!

This template works great… I think I should change all my sites to this. I also added a free 5-part course for anyone who signs up.

free teleseminar is the way to go

My teleseminar will be FREE! :)

I have been told it’s a much better way to do it. I will make it free to build a bigger list, stronger relationships with authorities in my niche, and make this an ‘event’ using PLF.

Wow, why didn’t I think of doing that sooner?

I’m using instantteleseminar.com they have great tips to start a teleseminar at a $1 trial.

How do I determine the price?

I asked an expert in my niche to make a teleseminar. But how do I determine the price of the seminar? The answer was revealed by conducting a survey and asking my list.

I asked 5 questions.

1. What price is so cheap that you would question the value of this teleclass?
2. At what price would this teleclass be a good deal?
3. At what price would the teleclass by expensive, but still worth buying?
4. At what price is this teleclass TOO expensive?

How interested are you in the teleclass?

I use surveymonkey.com to create my surveys, and in all the questions expect the last one, I left an open-ended space so they can enter their answer in USD.

After collecting all the answers, I extracted the numbers from “What price is too expensive, but still worth buying?”

The results:

* 56 survey responses.
* The lowest price they are willing to pay for is $10 and the highest is $500.

I pasted all the responses in an Excel spreadsheet to get the average price…. and surprise surprise.

The average is: $47.04

I don’t know why $47 is such a magic number, but if you’re reading this and know the answer, please let me know.

jeff walker’s product launch formula

I have been getting a lot of emails and blog comments asking similar questions, so I’ll just respond to them in a blog:

Did PLF help you?

Yes,  absolutely. I was surprised at how much the launch made even though I only followed 20-30% of the method. I recommend this to anyone.

Did you buy PLF?

Yes, I did. I think it cost $997 and if you check my older blog post, you should see when I bought it. (it arrived late!)

Would you buy PLF2?
No. I have everything I need  in PLF 1 to launch a product.

Can you sell PLF1 to me?

I no longer need the course and I am thinking of selling it. I will keep you guys updated so you can get a deal. I know PLF is rare and Jeff pulled it off his site, so if there is enough interest then I will put it for sale soon. if you’re interested in buying it from me, just reply below.
